urban funk engagement - beth and zack

When I first met Beth and Zack at the Buttes to discuss their big day, it was a hoot! They are such a fun and genuine couple. When they told me they both worked at the Department of Transportation and wanted to incorporate elements of their job into their engagement session, I had a feeling this was an opportunity to do something different and modern (so you know I was pretty pumped!)

We decided to find some views of the South Mountain towers to start the session. We found a perfect spot with a very appropriate street sign in the foreground (two big arrows I could use to compose a "look at these two" image :)

From there, we headed into the city and dodged traffic to get some fabulous landscape portraits, showing off the crazy street sign wall on the west side of 7th Street. So much color and pattern!

We ended the session walking the streets of downtown Phoenix. And since the sun was setting, we decided to make the hike up to the top of a parking lot, near the Sandra Day O'Connor court house, just to see what was up there. And WOW! An epic sunset, a full moon, funky, art deco building tops?! What more could you ask for, for an urban engagement session! What a blast!

Arizona Weddings just published an editorial, showcasing this engagement session as well! So hop on over there and check out more about Beth and Zack's love story :)
