It's no secret that the Royal Palms is one of my favorite resorts to shoot. The covered, outdoor walkways have wonderful feathered light. The landscaping is more Mediterranean than desert, and there are magical doorways around every corner. Seriously, I'm in LOVE with the doorways at the Palms! They look like a something you'd find in the Secret Garden, or Narnia!
So when Roxanne reached out to me to see if I was available for her big day at the Palms, I was over the moon. Not just because I love the venue, but because I could tell pretty quickly that we just "jived." We met for a chat by T. Cooks to talk about what she was looking for and what the style and theme would be of the wedding. She told me that she was immediately drawn to my imagery and that moody, editorial, dramatic feel was what she loved most about my photography. YES! This was when the girl-crush first started :)

She explained that she and her fiancé, Gus, would be getting married on the Vernadaro Lawn, with the aisle leading up the stairs, and that the would say their vows on the landing that surrounded the reflecting pool. Her colors would be muted. Ivory, white, deep greens, and hints of copper. I fell a little harder at that point. This wedding was going to be chic, elegant and the couple was enamored with my aesthetic! You can't really ask for more perfect clients than that.

The day of the wedding was a visual masterpiece, beyond what I had imagined! Roxanne wore a chic, minimalist gown of perfection by Essence of Australia. Her auburn hair was pulled into a elegant tuck, and she topped the look off with bejeweled Badgley Mischka heels and crystal earrings for Tia Doro. I remember thinking that she looked like a modern version of Audrey Hepburn the entire day. The embodiment of grace and effortless beauty. Her maids glittered in gowns of sequined copper.

Gus and the boys wore classic black tuxedos and the groom's cuffs were highlighted by Cartier cuff links!

Guests at this wedding were treated to a feast for the eyes and tastebuds! The ceremony space was decked out with white rose petals (in the form of a "K" for Gus's last name) a copper archway, and stunning floral designs by Lux Florals. The reception hall was filled with yummy treats created by Ruz Cake House and guests could choose from tufted couches to glamorous ottomans, provided by Prim Rentals. The entire party danced the night away to tunes provided by Valley Mix Entertainment. The whole day was captured by the guys at r360solutions, so when their film is done, get ready! I'll be sharing it with you all too :)

Gus and Roxanne, you're wedding was one for the record books. It was gorgeous, classic, timeless and incredibly beautiful. I adore you both and am honored you trusted me with capturing your wedding. The folks over at Strictly Weddings think so too! You can check out your own wedding editorial, here! Congrats again, you two!
