three things every bride needs to remember on the big day

Woohoo! Wedding season is well underway and I’ve been busy capturing my couple’s smooches, laughs and tears. Because the hustle and bustle that happens before the big day is always pretty chaotic, I always try to send my brides a little checklist. If they are avid email-checkers, like me, I email it. If they are married to their phone (an who isn’t!?) I send it as a text. If their heads are ready to explode and I think that one more “reminder” might just make them scream, I send it to their maid-of-honor : ) But it’s amazing how just a few little items can make some really gorgeous photographic memories.

1. A copy of your invitation, save the dates, RSVPs, (your invitation suite)

Be sure you bring these along so your photographer can capture this simple, elegant detail shot. It’s a gorgeous addition to the story of your day

2. Loose flowers

Having some loose petals and flowers (not attached to your bouquet or a center piece) can make for some stunning ring and invitation suite shots.

3. Groomsmen reminders

Ok, well this isn’t actually an item to bring with you, but it’s a reminder to tell your hubby-to-be to remember HIS keepsakes. Is he wearing his grandfathers watch? Did you order him some special cuff-links? Did all the groomsmen wear matching cactus socks? Remind your man to bring and tell your photographer about the special details that make your day his special day too :)
