fall festivities

Whew! The beginning of this season has been a busy one! And sadly, that’s made me neglect the blog a bit : ( But don’t worry! I’ll be catching you up on all the fun I’ve been having over the next couple of weeks.

At the end of September, I shot a wedding in a beautiful church in central Phoenix (St. Catherine of Sienna’s) followed by a reception at one of my favorite locations (the Royal Palms Resort). It was a fantastically fun wedding! The bride and groom moved here to the valley from New York, but she is originally from Ireland. Needless to say I became obsessed with her brogue the second she said “Well, hello, Rachel!” More to come on David and Angela’s nuptials this weekend! Stay tuned.

Last #WeddingWednesday, I was honored to be chosen as the photographer for WeddingWire’s Fall Fete in Mesa! It was a dazzling night, put on by WeddingWire and hosted by 12 West Main. The décor was a fun and funky mix of dramatic, opulent décor and the modern, industrial backdrop of exposed brick and cement flooring.

The Fete was free for engaged couples in the area and it was a wonderful opportunity to share my work with them. I’m pretty sure I will be shooting a few of their weddings this fall, winter and next spring! I held a drawing for one of the lucky couples and Edelmira and Ted were the lucky winners! Stay tuned to see images from their engagement session, which I’ll be shooting later this season.

There were some other fantastic vendors at the event:

Be sure to check out their websites if you are looking to book hair, make-up, Dj’s, bakers, or florists for your big day! These vendors and images will be featured on WeddingWire's blog soon, so be sure to stay posted for that one.
